How much is an old Telegram channel or account worth in 2026? This report combines SocialStore's published prices by creation year with a dated sample of public listings from other marketplaces and Fragment, and checks platform figures against Telegram's own announcements.
Key findings
- Age is priced in. On SocialStore's published price list, a 2014 Telegram account costs 5.3 times a 2024 account ($79 vs $15); a 2015 channel costs 4.9 times a 2025 channel ($49 vs $10); a 2015 group costs 2.6 times a 2023 group ($52 vs $20).
- Channels with an audience are priced on size and reach. In a sample of 18 public listings, asking prices ranged from $18 to $62,000, with a median of $495.01; the median was $26.85 per 1,000 subscribers and $123.24 per 1,000 average post views.
- "Telegram accounts" are two different products. Bulk, newly registered accounts with no stated age were advertised from $0.35 to $0.88 each, while aged accounts by creation year are listed at $15–$79.
- Short usernames are a separate, much pricier market. On Fragment, minimum bids for 10 sampled 4–5 character usernames ranged from 5,635 to 10,500 Grams (about $8,300–$15,400 at the stated rate).
- The platform keeps growing. Telegram passed 1 billion monthly active users in March 2025, and Fragment reported $350 million of usernames and anonymous numbers sold in 18 months by April 2024.

Price by creation year
| Asset | Years listed | Lowest | Median | Highest | Oldest vs newest |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aged accounts | 2014–2024 | $15 | $25 | $79 | 5.3× |
| Old channels (empty) | 2015–2025 | $10 | $20 | $49 | 4.9× |
| Old groups | 2015–2023 | $20 | $29 | $52 | 2.6× |
The largest single step in any series is between 2015 and 2014 accounts: a 2014 account costs more than double a 2015 one ($79 vs $39). Channels start in 2015 because Telegram introduced them that September. Current year-by-year prices are on the price list.
Channels with an audience: what the market asks
We recorded 18 public listings of channels with subscribers from Catalog.tg, Dealtous, Sebuda and AccoSwap. Ruble prices were converted at 85.71 RUB per USD (Bank of Russia rate of the day).
| Measure (sample of 18) | Value |
|---|---|
| Asking price range | $18 – $62,000 |
| Median asking price | $495.01 |
| Median price per 1,000 subscribers | $26.85 (range $8.46 – $1,125) |
| Median price per 1,000 average views (17 listings with views) | $123.24 |
The spread is wide because buyers pay for real reach, niche and income, not subscriber count alone. Compare a channel's price with its views using the channel value calculator, and see what Telegram views count before trusting a number.
New bulk accounts vs aged accounts
Public catalogs list newly registered Telegram accounts in bulk for under $1 each ($0.35–$0.88 in our sample, as advertised "from" prices, with no creation year stated). Aged accounts are a different product: an earlier registration year that can be checked on Telegram's own contact confirmation screen. When comparing offers, check the creation year and how login works, not just the price; see aged vs new accounts.
Usernames on Fragment
Collectible usernames trade on Fragment in Grams, Fragment's currency. The 10 short usernames we sampled had minimum bids of 5,635–10,500 Grams; these are minimum bids, not completed sales. A username can be part of a channel purchase, but it is priced separately; see Fragment usernames.
Methodology and limitations
- Observed: 7 October 2026. 64 rows from 7 sources: agedsocials.com, catalog.tg, dealtous.com, sebuda.com, accsmarket.com, accoswap.com, fragment.com.
- SocialStore prices are our own published starting prices per item; they do not reserve stock.
- Market rows are public asking prices or minimum bids, not completed sales. Each row links to its source page.
- Conversions: 1 USD = 85.7116 RUB (Bank of Russia); 1 Gram = 1.47 USD (CoinGecko), both on the observation date.
- Small sample: the market sample is a snapshot for orientation, not a census of the market. Sites that required sign-in were skipped.
- Disclosure: SocialStore sells aged Telegram accounts, channels and groups; we publish the raw data so you can check every number.
