Telegram export viewer: read, search and check a channel's archive.

Open the result.json from a Telegram Desktop export and see what is inside: when the chat was created, how active it was, which media and links it contains. The file is read in your browser and never uploaded.

How to get the file

  1. Open the channel or group in Telegram Desktop.
  2. Open the … menu and choose Export chat history.
  3. Set the format to JSON (machine-readable) and export.
  4. Choose the result.json file from the export folder above.

Step-by-step backup guide and what an export can't restore: how to back up a Telegram channel.

What the viewer shows

  • Creation record: the "channel created" or "group created" service message and its date, when the export contains it.
  • Activity: message count, date range, busiest month, media and forwarded messages.
  • Links: the sites linked most often, useful before a rebrand or a username change.
  • Search and CSV: find posts by word and download all messages as a spreadsheet.

Checking a channel's age before buying

The creation service message is the strongest age evidence in an export. An early ordinary message is weaker: imported messages can keep older dates. Ask the seller to export the chat live on a screen recording, then compare with the group age checker and the guide on old posts vs creation date. Our old Telegram channels are offered by creation year with evidence before payment.

Frequently asked questions

How do I open a Telegram export JSON file?

Choose the result.json file above. The viewer reads it in your browser and shows the date range, creation record, activity, media, links and a searchable message list.

Is my export uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read locally by your browser and never sent to our website.

Can the export prove when a channel was created?

If it contains the channel or group creation service message, that date is the strongest evidence in the file. An early regular message is weaker because imported messages can keep older dates.

Can I import the export back into Telegram?

No official way to rebuild a channel from its own export; it is an archive. See the backup guide for what to protect instead.

Why does it say no messages were found?

Export a single channel or group in JSON format and choose its result.json; HTML exports and full-account exports are structured differently.
