How to make a Telegram sticker from a photo
- Cut out the subject in a photo editor so the background is transparent, and save it as PNG.
- Upload it above, choose Sticker and keep the outline and shadow on: Telegram's guidelines suggest a transparent background, a white stroke and a black shadow.
- Download the file.
- In Telegram, open @Stickers (the official bot or its mini app), create a new set, upload the file and pick an emoji for it.
Telegram apps also have a built-in Sticker Editor: open the sticker panel in any chat and tap + to turn a photo into a sticker.
How many stickers fit in a set
According to the Bot API, a regular sticker set holds up to 120 stickers and a custom emoji set up to 200. Anyone can create custom emoji, but using them in messages needs Telegram Premium. Other app limits are listed in Telegram limits.
