X (Twitter) account age checker: the exact creation date from the ID.

Every X account and post has a numeric ID, and newer IDs contain the exact time they were created. Paste a user ID or a post link to see the date, down to the second.

How X IDs reveal the creation date

X gives accounts, posts and other objects snowflake IDs: a 64-bit number whose first part counts the milliseconds since 4 November 2010. Shifting the ID 22 bits to the right and adding that starting point gives the exact moment the ID was created. The ID never changes, so the date cannot be edited the way a bio or display name can.

The earliest accounts have short, sequential IDs from before this system. Those IDs carry no timestamp, but their short length alone marks them as some of the oldest accounts on the platform.

How to find an account's numeric ID

  • Your own account: the archive you can download from X's settings includes your account ID.
  • Check an ID you were given: open x.com/i/user/ followed by the ID; it opens the profile that owns it, so you can confirm the ID belongs to the account.
  • Every profile also shows the month and year it joined X, a quick first check.

Buying an aged X account? Check this first

  • Ask for the account's numeric ID and confirm it with x.com/i/user/ID.
  • Decode the ID here: the date must match the joined date on the profile.
  • A renamed account keeps its ID, so an old ID with a new name is normal; a joined date that does not match the ID is not.

Aged X accounts sorted by creation year are listed on aged X (Twitter) accounts.

Frequently asked questions

How can I see when an X account was created?

Every profile shows the month and year it joined. For the exact date and time, decode the account's numeric ID here: newer IDs contain the creation time.

Can I find the date of an X post?

Yes. Paste the post link; the number after /status/ contains the exact time the post was published.

Why does my ID show as an early account?

Accounts created before X switched to time-based IDs have short sequential IDs. They hold no exact date, but they belong to the oldest accounts on the platform.

Can the creation date be changed?

No. It comes from the ID, which never changes, even if the username or display name does.

Is the ID sent anywhere?

No. The date is calculated in your browser.
