Telegram polls: make a poll or a quiz in a minute.

Any user can send a poll in a private chat or group, and channel admins can post polls to their subscribers. No bot is needed.

1. Create a poll

1. Open the chat, group or channel.
2. Tap the paperclip icon and choose Poll. On a computer, use the attach menu or the three-dot menu.
3. Write the question and at least two answer options.
4. Pick the settings below and tap Create or Send.

• Anonymous voting: nobody sees who voted for what. Turn it off to show voters' names.
• Multiple answers: lets people pick more than one option.
• Quiz mode: one answer is marked as correct, as explained below.

3. Quiz mode

In quiz mode you mark the right answer before sending. People see whether they were right as soon as they vote and cannot change their answer. You can add a short explanation that appears after voting.

4. Who can see your vote

• In an anonymous poll, nobody can see who voted, not even the creator.
• In a public poll, everyone can open the results and see the names next to each option.
• Polls in channels are always anonymous.
• You can retract your vote in a normal poll, but not in a quiz.

5. Close a poll

The creator can stop the poll: press and hold it and choose Stop Poll. The final results stay visible and nobody can vote any more. Post results often get more replies than the poll itself, so share them in the group or channel.
