Why minimum rights matter
Every admin right is a separate switch. An admin who only needs to publish posts does not need to remove members or appoint other admins. Giving fewer rights limits the damage if an account is lost, compromised or a team member leaves.
- Add new admins is the most powerful right; keep it for people you would trust with the whole chat.
- Ban users can remove members or subscribers.
- Delete messages can wipe history, including old posts that show the chat's age.
- Only the owner can transfer ownership or delete the chat.
