YouTube money calculator: earnings from your views and RPM.

Enter daily views and your RPM (the revenue per 1,000 views that YouTube Studio shows you) to estimate earnings. Then check whether a channel meets the YouTube Partner Program thresholds.

Does the channel qualify for monetization?

How the estimate works

Estimated earnings = views ÷ 1,000 × RPM. RPM (revenue per mille) is what you earn per 1,000 views after YouTube's share, counting every view, including ones without ads. It is lower than CPM, which is what advertisers pay per 1,000 ad impressions. Under the YouTube Partner Program creators receive 55% of the ad revenue on long-form videos and 45% of the revenue allocated to their Shorts views, which is why Shorts RPMs are usually lower.

Thresholds can differ by country and YouTube can change them; the full rules are explained in YouTube monetization requirements.

Skipping the wait

Some creators start with a channel that already has history and subscribers. See YouTube channels for sale; a channel with real history is the only shortcut, because YouTube does not count paid views toward monetization.

Frequently asked questions

How much does YouTube pay per 1,000 views?

There is no fixed rate. Your RPM in YouTube Studio is the real figure for your channel; it depends on niche, viewer country, video length and season.

What is the difference between RPM and CPM?

CPM is what advertisers pay per 1,000 ad impressions. RPM is what you earn per 1,000 views after YouTube's share, across all views, so it is always lower.

How many subscribers do you need to get paid on YouTube?

Ad revenue needs 1,000 subscribers plus 4,000 watch hours in 12 months or 10M Shorts views in 90 days. Fan funding features start at 500 subscribers.

Is this calculator accurate?

It is exactly views × RPM ÷ 1,000. Its accuracy depends on the RPM you enter, so use the figure from your own YouTube Studio.
